Jivatma and Paramatma

In the Gita class on 30th Oct, in one of the examples, Jivatma was considered as the wave, paramatma was considered as ocean, and Atma as water. Water is essential nature of both ocean and wave

One question is, in terms of capabilities, is paramatma then different or more powerful when compared to Jivatma. For example, a ship can go only in a ocean, but not on a single wave. So, that way, ocean is more capable

Another example is a waterfall and a small rivulet. Essential nature is water again, but waterfall can rotate a turbine while rivulet cannot.
